Interim Director of Sourcing & Production – RTW

Location: Copenhagen or Paris

We are supporting a contemporary womenswear brand, known for its expressive designs, bold identity, and commitment to sustainability, in the search for an experienced Interim Director of Sourcing & Production to lead their RTW operations during a key transition period.

This 3-month freelance assignment is based in Paris or Copenhagen and offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, purpose-driven creative environment alongside a passionate team shaping the future of fashion.

Mission

You will take full ownership of sourcing, supplier relations, and the end-to-end production process for the RTW category. Your main focus will be to strengthen operational efficiency, ensure on-time delivery, improve quality, and support the team during a leadership transition.

You will lead a team of 6 and collaborate closely with design, product development, merchandising, and supply chain, while staying aligned with the brand’s strong values around sustainability, creativity, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drive and implement the sourcing and supplier strategy for RTW
2. Lead, coach, and inspire the RTW sourcing & production team
3. Manage global supplier and manufacturer relationships
4. Ensure timely, high-quality, and responsible production aligned with margin targets
5. Collaborate cross-functionally to align sourcing with business and creative goals
6. Monitor production timelines and resolve delays or quality issues
7. Conduct supplier evaluations and ensure compliance with sustainability standards
8. Support transition planning and contribute to the Operations leadership team

Profile

1. 10+ years of experience in sourcing and production leadership roles within the international fashion industry
2. Expertise in managing global supplier networks and production ecosystems
3. Strong leadership and communication skills
4. Proven experience in margin management, quality assurance, and production planning
5. Fluent in English
6. Passion for responsible sourcing and continuous improvement
7. Ability to travel frequently
